VOICE ASSISTANTS
Voice assistants are a great way to enhance the accessibility of a product. Not only can they help in hands free scenarios in the car or the kitchen (and increasingly more rooms of the house), they can also make your product scenarios simple for users of all age groups and technology skill levels.

Pending Spark recently brought to life a cross platform voice assistant for school age children to answer the daily question of "What is for lunch at school today?". This project was a great example of where Amazon Alexa and Google Home really shine. Each day, 31 million children are served lunch through the national school lunch program. While the menu is available digitally, its buried deep a school website that is difficult for parents and kids to find when they need it. Now it's right on the tip of their tongue.

This project came together very quickly using server-less compute with AWS Lambda, structured data in RDS, and voice interaction with the Jovo SDK paired with Jargon for voice localization support. If you are considering a voice companion to your products, give us a shout, we'd be happy to assist you.
